At Booz Allen, the Special Missions UI/UX Engineer shapes user experiences for data science, data engineering, and software solutions that mission teams rely on. This onsite role in Fayetteville, NC brings together engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders to craft intuitive interfaces and ensure seamless integration with backend systems. You will translate complex data workflows into accessible UI while supporting national security decision makers at the tip of the spear.
Responsibilities
- Design and integrate intuitive user experiences for complex data science, data engineering, and software application solutions.
- Navigate the full digital creative process, including user research, information architecture, wireframing, rapid prototyping, interface design, and front end development.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, including engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders, to ensure smooth alignment between user interfaces and backend systems.
- Support clients in fulfilling their mission by aiding national security decision makers at the forefront of operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of UI/UX design, integration, and optimization for data science, data engineering, and software application solutions.
- Experience designing interfaces, workflows, and visualizations for data rich or operational systems.
- Proficiency in system integration using JSON, REST, and XML protocols.
- Experience with modern UI/UX tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Knowledge of DoW operation centers workflows and processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with operations customers and technical experts to optimize cross functional solutions for user experience.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
