Graphic Design / Sign Production - Entry Level / Full or Part-time

Responsibilities

• In the production area, assemble signs by cutting substrates, applying vinyl or other media, and preparing components for final assembly.
• Set up and operate laminators to apply lamination or mount digitally printed graphics.
• Proofread and verify the accuracy and quality of signs prior to output.
• In the design area, generate vinyl and full-color graphics output ready for weeded, cut, applied, or mounted applications, translating customer drawings or files into finished designs.
• Prioritize daily workflow to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Determine the best output method to meet customer needs and interpret Work Orders.
• Collaborate with teammates and customers on file transfers, proofs, and proofs in the FASTSIGNS online system.
• Prepare illustrations, layouts, and copy for print reproduction following client or supervisor instructions.
• Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending to plotters or printers, ensuring correct materials and device settings.
• Provide proofs for customer approval as needed via the online proofing system.
• Maintain all equipment, including computers, plotters, and printers, and manage inventory for supplies.
• Minimize waste by efficient use of ink, media, laminates, and vinyl; alert management when stock is low.
• Coordinate with Sales/Service, Sign Makers, and Production Managers on job requirements, timing, and special needs.
• Follow layout guidelines to place vinyl or full-color graphics on substrates, and perform finishing steps as required.
• Assist with unloading materials, organizing storage areas, and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of sign production or related experience.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and G Suite.
• Hands-on ability to work with vinyl, paper, and various substrates.
• WA Driver's License (Required).

• Operate lightweight power equipment and work from a ladder when needed

Experience

• Sign Production / Design: 1 year preferred
