Visual Design Associate Manager

Responsibilities
- Help define and steer visual design direction for engagements from concept through delivery, ensuring quality, cohesion, and on‑time outcomes.

- Create polished visuals across brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital experiences, demonstrating strong craft and meticulous attention to detail.
- Operate in a self‑directed, hands‑on manner: own your workstream, make intentional design decisions, and deliver production‑ready outputs with minimal guidance.
- Leverage AI tools within your workflow to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, while contributing to the team’s evolving AI‑enabled practices.
- Participate in client and stakeholder conversations, clearly explaining design rationale and building your credibility as a trusted creative voice.
- Document how AI tools reshape your workflow and contribute to the practice’s evolving understanding of AI‑enabled visual design.
- Contribute project work, process documentation, and design narratives to proposals and case studies that showcase visual design capabilities.
- Monitor internal and client needs and creative opportunities, flagging areas for deeper work or expanded scope to your lead.
- Mentor junior designers informally, sharing feedback, references, and workflows to help grow their visual craft.
- Engage actively with the Visual Design Craft community, contributing resources and participating in discussions that advance the discipline.
- Stay attuned to project scope and timelines, aligning design efforts with broader program goals.
Requirements
- More than five years of visual design experience across diverse industries, brands, platforms, and visual contexts.
- Experience guiding visual design engagements end‑to‑end from concept and strategy through production‑ready delivery.
- Experience creating brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI that express a strong, evolving visual voice.
- Deliver high‑fidelity visuals with meticulous attention to detail, including pixel‑perfect deliverables and developer‑ready specifications.
- Provide informal mentorship and feedback to junior designers, helping others grow their craft and creative confidence.
- Collaborate in agile, cross‑functional teams with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists to deliver cohesive experiences.
- Solid grounding in UX principles that inform visual decisions, guiding users intuitively while maintaining a coherent brand voice.
- Experience contributing to scalable design systems that ensure visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
- Comfort using AI tools for concepting, mood boards, rapid iteration, and willingness to adopt evolving AI‑enabled workflows.
