Job Description
Seal Tex, Inc. is seeking a SolidWorks CAD Drafter to join our onsite Dallas team, where precise sheet metal design supports our stainless fabrication work for commercial kitchens. The role focuses on turning concepts into manufacturable parts and assemblies, delivering detailed drawings for production, and collaborating closely with fabrication staff. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of USD 20 to 30 and a path to contribute across design and manufacturing workflows.
Responsibilities
- Utilize SolidWorks 2025 sheet metal functions to develop parts and assemblies for Seal Tex products and generate detailed drawings for customer review and production.
- Apply CAD and sheet metal design knowledge to advance products from concept to manufacturing with minimal direction.
- Create nest-ready flat patterns for all sheet metal parts.
- Collaborate with fellow drafters and production personnel to ensure efficient manufacturing execution.
- Maintain precision and consistency in design practices.
Requirements
- 1+ year of SolidWorks experience in a manufacturing environment (Required).
- 1+ year of sheet metal fabrication or design (Required).
- Experience with creating and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Solid problem-solving skills, optimism, and creativity.
