Interior Designer

The Shoppe Seven Lane Interiors is seeking an experienced residential interior designer to translate design concepts into detailed drawings, documentation, and coordinated project plans. This onsite role in Canton, Ohio involves collaborating with the Principal Designer to execute projects with precision and style, guiding them from concept through construction documentation. The position offers a salary between USD 60,000 and 70,000 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture along with hands-on residential design experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed design drawings including floor plans, elevations, and cabinetry layouts
• Translate design concepts into accurate construction documentation
• Develop furniture layouts and design presentations
• Prepare drawings using Autocad or SketchUp
• Create electrical plans, finish schedules, and specifications
• Coordinate design details with builders and architects
• Assist with sourcing furniture, lighting, textiles, and finishes
• Prepare specification sheets and design presentations
• Maintain organized documentation for each project
• Communicate with vendors, contractors, and workrooms
• Track design revisions and updates
• Assist during project installations and styling

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
• 2+ years experience in residential interior design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Proficiency in SketchUp
• Knowledge of Lighting Design principles
• Knowledge of color theory
• Experience producing construction documentation
• Knowledge of residential construction and finish materials
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
