Job Description

A onsite, Ozark, MO based Motion Designer role at James River Church focused on crafting highly creative video content that upholds brand identity across ministry initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Capture footage and perform editing as needed to support ministry projects
  • Design motion graphics and animations for videos used in weekly services and special events
  • Develop screen visuals for all events and Sunday morning programming
  • Create opener sequences and specialized motion for events and large-scale pieces
  • Collaborate on producing diverse videos including social promos, event highlights, and behind-the-scenes clips
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in video production, including shooting and editing with Adobe Premiere Pro
  • At least 2 years of experience with After Effects and third-party plugins
  • Film degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Online portfolio or work samples available; include link in key strengths or on resume

Description

Reporting to the Director of Communication and in collaboration with the Creative Team Director, the Motion Designer delivers innovative content for James River Church's creative ministries. The role emphasizes professional execution, inspiration, and completion of high-level visuals while maintaining adherence to the church brand guidelines.

  • James River Church operates under pastoral leadership with board oversight; staff are expected to uphold the church's doctrine and gospel mission in alignment with a shared organizational purpose
  • Develop and maintain a close personal walk with the Lord, including daily devotional time and reliance on spiritual empowerment
  • Foster a strong marriage and healthy family life with open communication and time off when possible
  • Keep personal finances in order and free of delinquencies
  • Attend all regularly scheduled church services; participation in additional services as needed
  • Maintain high integrity, honesty, and confidentiality in dealings with staff and congregation
  • Uphold a Christian outlook and attitude consistently and remain loyal to the staff and church to promote unity
