ZenPoint Solutions is seeking a creative UI/UX designer to help modernize a federal law enforcement software platform. The role is onsite in Huntsville, Alabama, and requires U.S. citizenship. You will shape both the look and the feel of mission-critical applications, focusing on intuitive, user-centered experiences that perform reliably in real-world contexts.
Responsibilities
- Apply user-centered design practices to create cohesive, efficient interfaces, emphasizing consistency, error prevention, transparent feedback, and clean, minimalist aesthetics.
- Produce detailed front-end mockups, wireframes, site themes, and reusable layout templates in Adobe XD before development cycles begin.
- Ground designs in user research and workflow analyses to align with defined roles, personas, and practical usage scenarios.
- Collaborate directly with system and solution architects to translate business requirements into actionable, visually engaging front-end prototypes.
- Conduct lightweight usability testing with users or proxies, capture friction points, and maintain a Usability Findings Log to guide iteration.
- Maintain continuous feedback loops with the Product Owner and stakeholders to validate front-end builds against task success and experience metrics.
- Design elements that fully comply with Section 508 accessibility standards, including keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, and appropriate contrast.
- Participate in occasional field visits to training environments to observe real-world workflows and iterate on live operational feedback.
Requirements
- United States citizenship is required; proof of citizenship must be provided if selected.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in user research, interface prototyping, wireframing, or workflow optimization.
- Strong creative, technical, and problem-solving abilities with a clear emphasis on translating user perspectives into design solutions.
