Responsibilities
- Participate as a Scrum team member delivering UI/UX design and development for releasable software in short sprint cycles, collaborating with business analysts, engineers, stakeholders, and end users.
- Conceptualize and design custom software capabilities for a mix of legacy and modernized systems with limited oversight.
- Lead the creation of a cohesive look and feel and standardized user experience across multiple applications.
- Guide collaborations between creative strategy, UX, visual design, development, and client teams to craft effective design strategies.
- Develop compelling, user-focused experiences and viewpoints aligned with clients’ business objectives.
- Work with cross-disciplinary teams to define and implement experience style guides, interaction patterns, and information design standards.
- Produce wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate ideas to stakeholders.
- Establish standard layout and style libraries across applications.
- Partner with the functional team to assess feasibility and iterate on design ideas and improvements.
- Ensure product quality and timely delivery, offer guidance, resolve issues, and provide periodic performance updates
- Mentor junior team members to support ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required with ability to pass a CBP background investigation, including checks for felony convictions (3 years), illegal drug use (1 year), and misconduct such as theft or fraud (1 year).
- Degree in a related field (e.g., Interactive Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design or Human Factors) with seven years of related experience.
- Experience collaborating to create accessible, responsive websites and web applications usable by real people across all devices.
- Seven or more years of professional experience as a visual designer, interaction designer, experience designer, or similar role.
- Proficiency with enterprise UI design tools such as Figma (preferred), Axure, or equivalent.
- Strong track record communicating designs with product owners, end users, development teams, and management.
- Ability to balance design considerations with technical feasibility and maintenance requirements.

Pay range
The proposed salary range is $90,300 to $189,600 per year. Final compensation is influenced by factors such as geographic location, federal contract wage categories, prior relevant experience, specific skills and certifications, education, and other competencies.
